With a $50 million contribution from LIVESTRONG Foundation, the Dell Medical School has exceeded its $3 billion goal for its 8-year campaign. The new medical school will be the first one in decades to be constructed by a tier-one university. UT Austin has said that the school helps them become a greater service to society while also embodying new innovations in healthcare. Speaking with Austin Monthly recently, Dr. Potter agrees:
“This city is an amazing place, and the new medical school will only add to that. Austin is on the cutting edge in so many areas, and that includes the medical field. It’s an exciting time to be in health care here.”
The school is a perfect addition to the southeast section of the UT campus and to the downtown area as a whole. It is another example of Austin’s dedication to relevancy in all fields. Read her quote directly from Austin Monthly along with the sentiments of other great doctors in the city.
